Ok, there is an update on my LMTV conversion from a while ago ([link]
), now known as the PUMA (Red VS Blue fans should get the joke, it looks like a warthog so...). Part of my pre-deployment art dump ([link]
So the only things that have really been changed with this one is the design of the turret, which was changed to both look WAY better than the early version and also to make the vehicle now be fully in line with the Elysian Tauros Venerator ([link]
). So in effect a Puma is the exact same vehicle as the Venerator, its just fully armored.
So how will these be used you ask? Well in tournaments in which I can use forgeworld units and games in general I will use these in combination with my rapid strike infantry forces (ie: 3 squads of stormtroopers with scout in chimeras) to rush my opponent's flanks and weak points in their line. So far its proven to be a VERY effective tactic when combined with extremely effective fire support platforms in my rear field.
The only part of it that I'm not satisfied with yet is the back of the hull, I think that it looks wrong the way that the hull just stops flat as it currently does, so I think that I'll probably make a better rear sloped hull later from plasticard, when I eventually start working on this thing again.
So anyways, here are the alternative views, comments and critiques more than welcome.
